DAY 15!!! Destin to Orlando, getting younger by every mile!

Disney, Deliciousness, Beaches, Bums, etc… Florida is a state that has it all! We got in late last night as far as we could go which was just into San Destin. One heck of a made up city that is for sure, it is like nothing ever bad happens here. I know the Truman show was filmed in Seaside but this whole strip just feels out of this world in lights, brights, commericalness, and whites. We stayed at my brothers in laws sisters place in Bay town, wow, super super nice. Took out a fun filled golf car journey this morning to the beach and interviewed Ron Brooks who was a photographer and metal detecting down the beach. Such a nice guy who had really lovely things to say about America (http://www.ronsimagesbythesea.com/). Thanks Katie for working all this wireless sound equipment out. Trucked only as far as Seaside this afternoon just because the light was so beautiful at sunset! You always have to stop for good light! After a lovely dinner at a place called Crush we drove as far as we could to Lake City and off in the morning to meet up with good friend Merry Love who I havent seen in years to go to Disney! Ohhhhh, I can feel my inner Peter Pan now. Hard to sleep when you havent been to Disney in 20 years! love it!

  1. Hey Josh and Katie,

It was great to meet to you on the beaches of Sand Destin! Thanks for the plug too on my website. Did not find any gold that day but meeting two new adventurous friends made my day. Looks like you are getting on with your journey across America. Godspeed and enjoy your journey and remember, Life’s a journey not a destination! Forgot who said that, I think Ralph Waldo Emerson but it definitely is true.
