DAY 57!!! True False film festival Columbia MO

Posted on: March 5th, 2012 by joosy No Comments

Woke up early on a bean bag next to the front door and was out the door by 9 to start shooting some of the bands that strategically open for the movies. Wonderful way to come into a theater and great way for bands to expose themselves to a captive audience before a screening. Shot Amanda and her sisters band Dubb Nubb who are just amazing (http://www.dubbnubb.com/) and then to my other lovely friends opening of Lizzie Wright Super Spaceship (http://www.facebook.com/Superspaceship) and yet another Mississippi lovely Ming Donkey opened for films (http://www.facebook.com/MING.DONKEY.ONE.MAN.BAND). First video I saw was ok and couldn’t finish it. Defintely brilliant in the respects that this transgender kid in Tennessee was brave but in the end he was just crazy and ridiculous. Check it out, hard to watch with all of the film shakiness (http://meatthezoo.tv/). Walked around shooting over Columbia, had some lovely bean sandwiches from Billiards bar and then went to see a lovely secret screening. These guys were amazing fine art photographers turned filmmakers. Such a good film about poly pharmacy in America. Brilliant! check it out http://offlabelfilm.com/filmmakers/. After good films came great music from Busman’s Holiday (http://www.myspace.com/busmansholiday) who i think need a NPR show and numerous others including dark dark dark and why do we build these machines. Passed out with to much brew and great films and music in the head and ears!
